Welcome to Aoe2Sheet!
In addition to the info sheet, here you can find all manner of tools for Age of Empires II
- VooblyVoobly is an online multiplayer client for Age of Empires II (among some other games). It's the platform used by competitive AoE 2 players because of the features it offers compared to HD. It uses the Userpatch for the original game that you can find here, which offers a huge amount of fixes and extra features and capabilities.
For an easy setup (if you have the HD version installed), see AoE2Tools below.
- AoE2ToolsAoe2Tools is an awesome piece of software by Gregstein that makes it as easy as never before to install and manage your Age of Empires II game, including WololoKingdoms, Visual Mods, Recorded Games, Streams and much more!
- WololoKingdomsThis tool allows you to play the HD Edition DLCs on Voobly and with Userpatch, so you can profit from a huge variety of features, bug fixes and improvements. Even the ECL (Escape Champions League), a 60000$ tournament official sponsored by Microsoft, is played on this version.
- OBS Studio AoC editionThis is a custom version of OBS, which is streaming software. This version has useful scene presets with a score overlay and more. It also has custom encoder settings which should improve the stream quality for AoE II.
- AoE 2 StatsThis is a great site made by Pip. Similar to my Sheet, you can look at unit stats, civilizations and more. The search function makes it very convenient and there's a option to compare several units that's very useful!
- AoE 2 Database (Android app)A great android app! It has all unit, civilization and tech stats, information on mechanics and an entertaining quiz feature. Here's the link as a QR code:
- Online AoE 2 Tech TreeAs the name promises, this is the Age of Empires 2 Tech Tree so you can look it up online.- Alternative Tech Tree (I prefer the other one because you can switch civs while scrolled to the right)
- AoE 2 Map DatabaseA database of different maps and map packs, with descriptions, screenshots a map pack creator and more!
- Online Hotkey EditorAn online tool for editing hotkeys. There are no restrictions on overlapping keys, and you can set some unusual keys that the in-game editor won't allow. You can find presets from pro players as well. When downloading, make sure to set the version to HD 5.0+ if you want to use the hotkey set for HD or WololoKingdoms.
- Captains Mode for Age of Empires IIAnother great tool by Pip. This allows you to pick and ban civs according to certain rules, as you might know from games like League of Legends. This has been used in several tournaments already.
- Tournament info- Escape Homepage - Tournament Organization for AoE II, Organizer of ECL
- Team BalancersThese tools allow you to balance teams according to Elo.- Team Balancer (Elo entered manually) Back to top
- Modding ToolsThese tools help with creating mods and scenarios- Trigger Studio with WololoKingdoms scenario conversion capability - SLX Studio, a modern tool to handle SLP and DRS files - Advanced Genie Editor to edit the data file of AoE II - Github organisation for several AoE projects Back to top
- Overlay toolsThese tools let you overlay text over the game, e.g. for build orders.- Border: Shows a variety of build orders - Notemaster: Shows info on the civilizations and the matchup - Rate & Civ Overlay & Nightbot plugin for streamers Back to top
- Community sitesDifferent forums and sites for the aoe2 community- AoEZone (Main forum for the competitive scene - all major tournaments are organized here) - AIscripters forum - for AI scripting and Userpatch development - Random Map Scripting Discord channel - AoKHeaven - If you're interested in modding, you'll find a treasure trove of information here - NC Zone forum - German clan/community site with a custom teamgame balancing tool Back to top
- AoE 2 WikiA wiki site for the Age of Empires series. Keep in mind that as a wiki it's editable by anyone and relies on different volunteers for updating. Because of that, I would take strategy advice or things like specific unit stats with a grain of salt, but it can be a good resource to look up information you can't find elsewhere.
- GuidesSeveral guides, mainly for newer players- AoE 2 Subreddit Wiki with guides&tips - Reference on Userpatch hotkeys - A chart of unit counters - not completely accurate though - A manual on civs and strategies - again, not completely accurate but a decent start Back to top
- Calculators- Calculate the number of villagers needed to sustain unit production Back to top
